About Me

Stéphanie Turgeon, Ph.D.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychoeducation and Psychology at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) and a certified psychoeducator. My work operates at the intersection of human development, physical activity, and inclusive practices.

With a deep commitment to understanding how environments shape human potential, I dedicate my research and practice to exploring the psychosocial impacts of sport. Whether it is high-performance coaching or adapting activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, my goal remains the same: to foster growth through meaningful engagement.

Research Focus

My research program investigates the environmental conditions that optimize the benefits of physical activity, focusing on social pedagogy and youth development.
